|BRUHWiLER KIDS CLASSIC|
In the past, the community businesses have generously donated prizes for all the kids and they have been so appreciated.
This year, we are hoping to be able to give each participant a teeshirt with our fun logo on it in leu of prizes! If you are interested in helping us make this happen for the 100-110 kids that show up every year (from ages 1 -18) the best way to contribute would be a cash donation of up to $20 (or whatever your business can do!)
Please feel free to email with any questions at all. Cash or cheques can be picked up or email transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org is great too!
Thanks and see you at the beach!
THANK YOU SURFRIDER PACIFIC RIM FOR YOUR TIME AND EFFORTS WE APPRECIATE YOU!
Surfrider Pacific Rim Best Environmental Steward - Winner's Day on Vargas Island — at Cedar Coast Field Station.
September 21 · · Surfrider took part in this year's Bruhwiler Kid's Classic that was held on September 16th by hosting the first annual Best Environmental Steward contest. Kids at the competition had the chance to exemplify their environmental stewardship and get entered to win the contest. The prize consisted of a trip to the Cedar Coast Field Station on Vargas Island, swag bag, treats, games, and a remote beach clean up! The lucky winners were Arielle, Lilly and Toby, who went along with Surfrider on September 24th to Vargas. We ended up having an incredible day with the Cedar Coast scientists, and had a successful beach clean on Keltsmaht beach, picking up 6 bags of trash, 10 bags of recycling, and one massive super sac worth of styrofoam! Thanks to Earth Mama Love Kitchen Collective and Tofino Cake Studio for the amazing treats, Keltsmaht Enterprises Water Taxi Service for the boat support, Cedar Coast Field Station for hosting all of us, and Jamie's Whaling Station & Adventure Centres for supporting our Love Your Beach Clean Program, which made this day possible!

Reminder about this amazing opportunity with Surfrider Pacific Rim. Enter to win this opportunity to help keep our oceans and beaches clean.
*******THERE ARE THREE WAYS TO ENTER******
1. Ride your bike or walk to the event
2. Pick up garbage around the event/beach and properly dispose of it in the provided garbage and recycling bins
3. Bring a reusable cup, bowl, and spoon to the event
Surfrider has generously donated a boat trip to a remote beach for the winner and two of their friends to clean the beach, play some games, get some awesome swag, and basically have the best time while also helping the environment. If the winner chooses, they can also stay the night at the field station!
Once you have done one (or hopefully all 3!) head to the registration tent to enter your name in a raffle. Winner will be picked at the end of the day!
