GETTING THERE - please think green! Bike, carpool, walk, run or use the FREE SHUTTLE running 9am - 5pm. Check out www.eventsintofino.com for the full schedule.

PARKING -
Chestermans: If the contest is held at Chestermans, you can park on the BEACH SIDE OF THE ROAD ONLY and the DESIGNATED LOTS at North, Middle and South Chestermans. If these are full please use Howard Drive.

Cox Bay: If the contest is held at Cox Bay, please park in the gravel lot on Maltby Road or at the public lot at Cox Bay Beach Resort.  If these lots are full the overflow lot at the Tourism Tofino info center will be open as well. Do NOT park on the highway or Pacific Sands, Long Beach Lodge or Cox Bay Beach Resort!!!

Carpool if possible and respect the parking bylaws please.

TIME - The contest will start at 9 am sharp.  

WEATHER - We will have some tenting, but the kids will most likely be in their wetsuits most of the day, so wind-breaking layers and toques are a great idea for between heats. Think wool and rain gear if its raining. This is Tofino, please remember to bring clothing for all weather - don’t forget the sunscreen.

WATER & FOOD - We will have food sales at the beach, provided by Wildside Grill.  We will also have some water, but please bring full bottles for your family! Come prepared for a full, fun day at the beach!

SAFETY - If any parents would like to be in the water with the kids, please bring your wetsuits. For the expression session, bodyboards, bodysurfing, tandem, shortboard, longboard, anything goes and go out with your kids !!! We ask that for the competitive divisions parents don’t push their kids into waves, but are welcome to be out past the break for safety.
