The 2025 Bruhwiler Kids Classic was packed with creativity, community, and incredible vibes!
This year’s official event poster was made extra special by the amazing art submitted by young surfers and artists in our community. Huge thanks to @stormsurfshop for donating a $250 gift certificate to one lucky artist whose design was randomly chosen as our 2025 poster!
And the best part? Every child who entered received a custom T-shirt printed with their own artwork, thanks to the magic of @selkiescoastalcreations. So much talent and stoke!
This event wouldn’t be what it is without our awesome young production crew, who ran the show from setup to takedown—commentating, judging, tabulating scores, setting flags, running interviews and games. You all crushed it!
Fueling the fun were the tasty donations from @surfsidetofino, @ukeepoke, @rhinotofino, @tofinocoop, @uclueletcoop, @ralphandmarleen, and @prep_pacific_rim_event. Thank you for keeping everyone energized!
Massive thanks to @routesofchange for the epic drone footage and to @yeti for always having our back.
Of course, none of this would be possible without our wonderful volunteers, judges, sponsors, ocean-loving kids, and the parents who support their groms in and out of the water. 🌊☀️💙

We’re stoked to announce the Poster Contest for the Bruhwiler Kids Surf Classic 2025, happening this June 15, 2025!
Theme: Celebrate surfing, the ocean, and young surfers!

Prizes: The winning design will become the official event poster, and the artist will receive an awesome surf-inspired prize!

Submission Deadline: March 30, 2025

How to Submit: Email your artwork to contest@tofinopaddlesurf.com or drop it off at Tofino Paddle Surf any day between 10am - 5pm.

IT’S EASY - HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

1. Print labels at Coop

2. Put your containers in clear plastic bags with labels stuck to them, no sorting needed! Drop off at the Express & GO station at Industrial Way by texting the code on their door and using code DKJW

3. They credit the online account.

Label Kiosk The label printer is located inside Tofino Co-Op at 140 First St, Tofino, BC V0R 2Z0 You can print extra tags to save for future drop-offs.

Returnables Drop Off Station Located at Industrial Way and Pacific Rim Hwy, past Slegg and to your right on the same road as the recycling station. Hours of Operation: Monday to Sunday from 7:00 am to 10 pm
